Rehearsals for First Strings and Second Strings orchestras take place at our base in Petts Wood on Tuesdays. Petts Wood is also the home of Junior Chamber Ensemble and Chamber Ensemble. The rehearsal venues are a stone’s throw away from local shops and cafés in the town centre, and easily accessible by train (Petts Wood) as well as bus (208 and R7). Free on-street parking is available in surrounding roads.

First Strings – 4.00-5.00pm on Tuesdays

Second Strings – 5.15-6.15pm on Tuesdays

Strings for Youth is a nurturing and fun string group to play in. In the chamber orchestra, we are tasked with challenging repertoire that really stretches us to be the best players we can be. There is a lovely community feeling where we are all brought together by the music we love playing. I feel I have gained so much musical confidence from attending Strings for Youth weekly and it is such a lovely feeling for Tim and Dominique Wells to be so supportive of us.
